Which Internet browser and version display the site best?
This site has been developed for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 (128-bit) and Netscape Navigator 4.75 (128-bit).
How to best view the Business Services Guide:
This site is best seen when your monitor is set at 800 x 600 resolution. To check your settings, go to the Windows Control Panel-->Display-->Settings.
Setting your monitor at a higher resolution will:
- Display more of the screen in the available window, but the text and graphics will be much smaller.
- Possibly cause problems in the screen.
As an alternative, you can enlarge the text displayed on your monitor:
- In Microsoft Internet Explorer, select View-->Text Size-->Larger
- In Netscape Navigator, select View-->Increase Fonts
Browser Printing Difficulties:
Printing documents from some of the areas on this site involves a combination of technologies, including:
- The type of Internet browser you are using and its version;
- Your printer and printer devices (the software which the printer uses to interpret what it is printing).
Unfortunately, testing the printing capabilities on all possible browser and printer combinations is not possible. Following are some possible solutions to try if you are experiencing problems printing your document.
When I try to print a large range only some of the pages print. What can I do?
Decrease the size of your print job by selecting a smaller print range, i.e., printing page ranges of 10 or less. For example, separately print pages 1 to 10, then pages 11 to 20, etc.
Detailed instructions:
With Microsoft Internet Explorer as your Internet browser, select File-->Print and in Page Range, select Pages and enter "1-10". After the 10 pages print, repeat these steps, to print pages "11-20", "21-30" etc.
With Netscape Navigator as your Internet browser, select File-->Print and in Print Range, select Pages and enter "1-10". After the 10 pages print, repeat these steps, to print pages "11 to 20", "21 to 30" etc.
Or, if available, request a copy of the printed documents from the appropriate department.
I'm still having problems printing. Is there anything else I can do?
If you are still having problems printing, you may need to upgrade your Internet browser to a newer version. As a minimum, your browser should be Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or Netscape Navigator 4.06.
If your printing problems persist, see your Network Administrator.
I can't see all the text on the right-hand side of the page when I print. It's being cut off.
If a line of text is being cut off on the right hand side of the page, try changing the page orientation in your Internet browser from Portrait to Landscape.
Detailed instructions:
With Microsoft Internet Explorer as your Internet browser, select File-->Page Setup and change Orientation from Portrait to Landscape.
With Netscape Navigator as your Internet browser, select File-->Print-->Properties-->Basics and change Orientation from Portrait to Landscape.
Another explanation for a line of text being cut off on the right hand side of the page is that your browser is set up to view web pages using large fonts. It is recommended that you have the font size in your browser set to "medium".
Detailed instructions:
With Microsoft Internet Explorer as your Internet browser, select View-->Text Size and select Medium.
Is it possible to speed up the site?
We do not provide performance-related information about your Internet service, speed, upgrades, etc. You may wish to contact your service provider for assistance.
